Hawker perfect ATEX batteries are specific vented motive power batteries , using a battery container designed, patented and certified for use in Zone 1-2 (Gas) and 21-22 (Dust) areas where flammable gas or dust may occur. These batteries are designed to power electrical materials handling equipment working in potentially explosive environments.

The Hawker wf200 plus is a very low maintenance battery. Suitable for a wide range of applications, from light to normal duty, it allows maintenance free operation for up to 200 cycles. The Hawker wf200 plus's remarkable efficiency and economy are derived from the integration of the electrolyte circulation system, using the Airlift principle, and the unique Hawker cell design. This range complies with dimensions of standards DIN/EN 60254-2 and IEC 254-2.

Hawker evolution is a new valve regulated gas recombination battery with gelled electrolyte, accepting up to 80% DOD C5. This range is suitable for use in forklift trucks, pallet trucks, electric vehicles and automatic transport systems. The cells have a greater capacity than most other maintenance free batteries on the market. The full benefits of Hawker evolution's high performance is optimised by using the battery in combination with our high frequency smart chargers, Lifeplus or Powertech, which allow a short charging time of only 8 hours in condition of 60% DOD or 12 hours charging time at 80% DOD C5.

Thanks to the benefits offered by the Hawker evolution technology, (no water topping up, very low gas emission, no acid leakage .), which requires a much simplified charging room, this range offers significant operational cost benefits. With minimal gas emissions it is ideal for use in sensitive environments such as the food industry. The Hawker evolution battery range is available in DIN and BS dimensions, complying with standards DIN/EN 60254-2 and IEC 254-2.

Hawker perfect plus motive power batteries provide a high level of power and reliability for all industrial truck operations, from simple applications with a low capacity loading up to heavy duty multi-shift work. Hawker perfect plus provides higher efficiency in discharge, which is achieved by the use of advanced components in the construction of the positives plates. The sizing of plates has been optimised according to volume available in the cell boxes and the process of filling the positive plates has been improved. All these technical enhancements have enabled an increase in the cell capacities while retaining the same exterior dimensions. This range is at the highest level of technology and offers very high efficiency. Available in DIN and BS series, this range complies with the dimensions of standards DIN/EN 60254 and IEC 254-2.
On request, these batteries can be supplied with Hawker aquamatic automatic single point filling system and/or with an air mixing system for reduced recharge time and increased battery availability.
